This spring we are thrilled to welcome back economist, best-selling author and international broadcaster David McWilliams for an entertaining evening of economics and comedy where he'll be joined both nights by some of the world's funniest, sharpest comedians from Ireland and the U.S. including comedian and bestselling author of Isn't It Well For Ye?: The Book of Irish Mammies Colm O'Regan, "one of the funniest comedians working today" (Time Out NY) Ted Alexandro, and Cork comedian, actor and writer Maeve Higgins. 

David has been traveling the globe discussing the current economic climate in Ireland, Ukraine, Abu Dhabi, the Unities States, and more and he'll be exploring with us economics and other contemporary issues.                    

Inspired by Ireland's acclaimed Kilkenomics Festival and following on the success of the last two seasons of Irish Arts Center Political Cabaret featuring Jim O'Sullivan, Colm O'Regan, Eddie Brill, Carmen Lynch, Steven Rattner, and Colin Quinn, this season's edition takes a comic-voiced look at Irish, European and U.S. economic issues -- with comedians from Ireland and the U.S. to make sure things don't get too serious. 

David McWilliams is a journalist and broadcaster and one of Ireland’s leading economic commentators. He is the bestselling author of The Pope’s Children, The Generation Game, and Follow the Money and has a weekly column in the Sunday Business Post and the Irish Independent. Prior to his media career he spent 10 years working at UBS and the Banque Nationale de Paris.
