“Gorgeous… Fans will surely relish such honest banter and dreamy mantras” – The Irish Times

Masterson’s striking artistry is a joy to watch….Gorgeous and emotive intimacy…Stunning”

Accomplished photographer Conor Masterson has photographed The Frames since 1998, enjoying a front-row seat to the remarkable lives of one of Ireland’s most enduring bands. Masterson’s extensive background with the band results in fascinatingly candid interviews, with discussions on the nature of music and collaboration. With a photographer’s eye, poetic sensibility and painterly aesthetic Masterson also captures The Frames’ intangible electricity in a feature-length documentary shot entirely in black and white. The end result is a compelling exploration of the band’s dynamic creative process including Glen Hansard’s passionate driving role, and a celebration of music and friendship.
