Irish Language Halloween Film Festival

Bram Stoker agus Dracula will screen as planned at 2pm. Due to Hurricane Sandy and the system wide shut down  of the NYC subways beginning at 7pm, The Heads screening will be postponed.

Honor the closing of the centenary year of Bram Stoker’s death and celebrate his upcoming birthday with the Irish Arts Center this October. Bram Stoker agus Dracula examines the complex life of one of Ireland’s most elusive novelists – Bram Stoker – and his enduring legacy to popular culture on the vampire myths.

Cloigeann, a Connemara village, comes to a standstill when the decapitated bodies of two young women are found in the nearby woods. Local artist Nuala and her adulterous boyfriend Seán find themselves at the heart of the brutal murder investigation as jealousy, lust and insecurity drives their relationship to the breaking point.

Na Cloigne received an IFTA award for Best Score and a Celtic Media Festival award for Best Drama
